How can I get involved?
The Centre is looking for members of the public with lived experience of accessing health and care services to join the HealthTech Public Advisory Group.
The group meet every other month, sometimes online and sometimes in person, in Birmingham, and there may be additional opportunities to be involved in particular research projects.
We welcome people from all communities and backgrounds, and you don’t need any qualifications or work experience to be involved. To enable you to fulfil the role, we ask that you meet the following criteria:
- Over 18 years of age
- Lived experience of accessing hospital services, a long-term health condition or caring for somebody who has
- Able to commit to a long-term involvement role (up to 4 years)
- Able to participate in at least 6 meetings per year. Some meetings are held in the daytime and some are in the evening
- Able to engage in face-to-face and online activities (this includes online meetings and remote activities such as reviewing documents and completing surveys)
Group members are recognised for their time and valuable contributions through the Centre’s Recognition and Reward Policy.
