Recognition and Reward

The HRC is committed to recognising and rewarding the valuable contributions of patients and members of the public involved in its work. The Centre offers recognition payments (honoraria) and reimburses out-of-pocket expenses in line with NIHR rates, to support meaningful patient and public involvement.

The Centre has adopted the Policy on Recognition Payments for Public Involvement in the College of Medicine and Health at the University of Birmingham, to facilitate alignment with NIHR standards and financial processes. You can find out more about recognition payments by reading the policy below.
