Amy is the Portfolio Manager for the NIHR HRC-DDR. Amy’s role involves overseeing the delivery of health technology research studies including device usability studies, first in human clinical investigations of novel technologies and product expert reviews. Amy ensures a high-quality service is provided to all internal and external stakeholders and partners of the NIHR HRC-DDR to progress innovation of new health technologies.
Amy graduated from university with a BSc in Biomedical Science. Amy initially worked at the West Midlands Regional Genetic Service based at the Birmingham Women’s Hospital and subsequently moved to Warwick Clinical Trials Unit. Amy has valuable experience of leading, managing, and delivering large randomised clinical trials of novel therapeutics and patient treatments within the Cancer and Trauma & Orthopaedic portfolios. This involved ensuring research delivery was executed to a high standard of proficiency; guaranteeing study protocols and patient information was implemented with a professional duty of care to regulatory standard.
