Prof Tracy Roberts

Bio
Tracy Roberts is Head of the School of Health Sciences within the College of Medicine and Health. She is a Professor of Health Economics and Head of the Health Economics Unit. In addition to these roles at the University of Birmingham, Tracy is an Honorary Professor of Health Economics at the University of Keele.
Tracy has specific research interests within economic evaluation and is particularly interested in testing and screening programmes. Clinical areas of interest include sexual health, obstetrics and gynaecology, women’s health and breast cancer. She is also interested in outcome valuation for use in economic evaluation in these clinical specialties with particular interest in the utilities and dis-utilities of screening and overdiagnosis.
Tracy has a wide range of applied research publications in these areas and has been a successful health economic applicant to both the Medical Research Council (MRC) and the National Coordinating Centre for Health Technology Assessment (NCCHTA) on numerous grant applications.
